2006
Tommy
Four of our girls took ponies
and had a fabulous if not tiring day everyone came home with
rosettes with super results. The youngest "BYs" went on
lead rein and got placed 4th on Goblin and 6th on Sally in the
style and appearance, clear rounds in the minimus and competed
in the family pony and most appealing. With mum and dad
bravely holding ponies and showing them!!!!!
All the ponies were well behaved
although Sally had a little moment of excitement with a flag
over the catering caravan which is unknown for her so at least
she is feeling well even though shes not as young as the
others!!!!
Charlotte took our new pony
Tommy and came 5th in the Mountain and Moorland, and 8 faults
in the show jumping. Also competing in the family pony
and most appealing.
Miss BY competed Patsy and came

Dates to take note....
29th May - Under 21's Northern
regional competition to be held at Richmond EC -
North Yorkshire
We would love as many
fledglings as possible to attend
*****************************************************************
Squad Training - Full
day 26th Feb
Five of the fledgling
girls attended for the full days training and to our relief
the weather held well, cold but dry!!!
The ponies were all on
their best behaviour, just an odd excitable moment that was
ridden through in super style!!!
It was fantastic to see
such little jockeys, all mounted on cracking ponies, riding
with a superb understanding of the way the ponies should be
ridden.
They rode for two hours
and worked on transitions, movements required and the ponies
way of going required for the Fledglings Test, then broke
for lunch. After lunch Allison joined us and
everyone rode the test individually and was judged by
her. This was not a competition to see how big a
percentage was achieved, it was to assess the girls and see
where they could improve. However, all the girls shone
under a little pressure and the scores were all
superb.
The idea of this was to
video the tests then sit afterwards, watch and discuss them -
unfortunately the video went pear-shaped - all the best laid
plans!!! So they were just discussed with the girls
instead!!!!! Next time hopefully it will happen - sorry
girls!!!
Allison also broke the
news that it would be the C Squad Test not the Fledglings Test
that would be ridden on the 29th May but looking at the girls
that wont be a problem!!!!
Well Done Everyone
(including mums and dads)
