Pony Day - 2nd December
2007
A very busy
day was had by both "children" and "helpers" not to mention
some very well behaved ponies!!!! The weather was cold
but the rain held off to a certain degree although the gale
force winds didnt help the showjumping as the jumps kept
blowing down!!!!!
We held 3 different classes,
Equitation, Handy Pony and a Show jumping to include style
over fences, which all the girls enjoyed and tried really
hard, with super results!!!!!!

Under 21's Dressage -
Addington 28th & 29th July 2007
Charlotte, Tommy, mum, and
sister Rebecca made the long trip to Addington complete with
all camping gear and had a very successful competition.
Each age group were split into teams of four and the team was
judged over the four tests.
Tommy settled really well in his
stable, which was a major concern for us
all. As he has so many issues, everyone was
concerned living in a temporary stable with a plastic "flappy"
roof would be just too much. As usual he proved us wrong
and settled beautifully and was still there in the
morning.....................
Setting off at 7am to arrive
with plenty of time was well worth the early start and the
results proved so......................

Pony Day For the Easter
Holidays 13th April 2007.
A busy day with lots of children
attending - some not quite as young as others!!! We
built a small course in the morning and the children worked
over the fences introducing some of the ponies to small
fillers and working on jumping positions.
In the afternoon we had an
easter egg hunt which was really good fun with children and
ponies everywhere!!!!!!! Following that with some pony
games!!!! We took lots of photos which are on a separate
page - click photo to go to them!!!!!

Charlotte and Tommy warming up
Maddie, riding at her second
dressage competition, rode really well, and remembered
her test, which we think is fantastic at seven years
old!!!!!!! George behaved perfectly and they came out of
the arena with big smily faces!! (That was just the
adults!!!!!!!!!)
Well done

Pony Day - 22nd February
2007
We held another pony day in the
half term holiday with seven girls attending. The
weather held up and wasnt too bad although cold and all the
girls enjoyed it!!!! Unfortunately we didnt get any
pictures this time!!!!
In the morning after "settling"
down some of the ponies, as it was very exciting working in a
group for some of the ponies who came to join us for the day,
we worked on flat work for competing in the showing
arena.
The girls practised their paces
and discussed individual shows. We then held a mock show
in which the girls rode as if in a showing class. Each
performed an individual show and we talked about each show as
it was performed, where they could be improved, shortened,
lengthened and how to impress the judge.
In the afternoon we set up a
small showjumping course and the girls schooled over each
fence together then came into the arena and jumped the whole
course individually.
We had a few departures from the
saddle with excitable ponies but everyone when home having an
enjoyable day and in one piece!!!!!!

Spinal Research Dressage
Competition, Brackenhurst Equestrian Centre - 4th & 5th
January 2007
Well Done Charlotte and
Tommy!!!!
Charlotte and Tommy rode four
superb tests over the weekend, in huge classes, and
gained results to prove it!!!! After some very hard
work, and lots of learning tests, as all our children ride the
tests from memory, Charlotte brought home loads of rosettes,
prizes and a huge trophy!!!!!!!!!
Tommy has come on in leaps and
bounds, he is still an extremely nervous pony to handle, but
Charlotte understands him completely, and Tommy tries his
hardest to please and work correctly.
