Cassini I

Cassini I is a son of renowned show jumping Sire, Capitol I, many of whose progeny inherited his grey coloured coat. Similar to Gotthard before him, Capitol I is making white a fashionable colour again. Quite a considerable proportion of interesting young stallions sired by Cassini I have been approved over the past few years, and care has been taken to assure sufficient thoroughbred content with the mares that he covers and as a result of this his progeny has increasingly been popular in the show jumping arena. Cassini I is out of a dam by the 'ideal' Holstein stallion Caletto II, who unfortunately had a fatal accident after only four seasons at stud. Caletto II was very popular during his lifetime and his hereditary transmission to his progeny corroborates this high esteem. His progeny are among the best on the show jumping circuit. His daughter Classic Touch, ridden by Ludger Beerbaum was the sovereign gold medal winner at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, thereby putting the crowning glory to his prowess as a sire of performance horses. The large framed Mahmud with his powerful motions adds the valuable bloodline of Marlon to Cassini I’s pedigree. His dam Wisma produced another grey in 1996, the approved Cassini II, who is also owned by the Holstein Association.

Performance record: Cassini I absolved his stallion performance test in performance classes and was thereafter successfully promoted in show jumper competitions by Bo Kristoffersen. He won show jumping competitions at intermediate classes. In 1994 he was a placed consistently at the Federal German Show jumping Championship. Thereafter he was taken over by Frankie Sloothaak with whom he had numerous International placing's including winning the Arnheim Grand Prix and wins in Nation's Cups as well as placements in World Cup show jumping events.

Breeding record: His first batches of foals from the Sollwittfeld station produced a large number of premium foals, of which six have been registered as state premium mares and eight as approved stallions in diverse breeds. The son Candillo won the 1996 stallion performance test in Medingen. Cassini I has already presented numerous federal championship participants in show jumping. His exceedingly ride-able offspring are doing their sire great honors in dressage also. An unusually large number of his progeny are meanwhile celebrating International sports successes.

Caletto II

Caletto II is regarded as the best son of Cor de la Bryere, especially in producing brood mares by Capitol. Cor de la Bryere was the most influential Sire in the Holstein bred in France, with a presence of the thoroughbred it started a new breeding era in the Holstein era by improving the jumping technique (especially in the front legs). Some of his sons are Corrado, Caletto I, Caletto II, Caletto III, Calypso IV (five brothers all graded Calando IV).
